The Lord’s Supper

· Every Sunday at 9:00 under the leadership of Pastor Axel Wittenberg

· As we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we joyfully receive Christ’s Body and Blood for the forgiveness of our sins.

· Since the Lord’s Supper is a public expression of our common confession of the Christian faith, we ask that only those persons who are members of this congregation or stand in confessional fellowship with the Lutheran Church in Southern Africa to receive the Sacrament.

· Guests wishing to receive the sacrament are asked to first speak with our pastor before the church service.

Training Lutheran Pastors for Africa

At the LTS we daily celebrate God’s grace and mercy in divine worship.  We do that following the Lutheran daily orders for Matins and Vespers from Lutheran Worship. Wednesdays Confession is heard and Absolution granted. Sundays  the Lord’s Supper is celebrated.

LTS Devotions

· 10:00 Weekdays Monday to Fridays

· Order of Lutheran Worship is used

· Cursory lessons from the New Testament are read

· Sermons on lessons from the lectionary according to the Church Year are preached by Pastors of the Lutheran Church

 

 

Matins [Morning Devotion]

· 18:00 every evening

· Lutheran hymns are sung

· Psalms are sung cursorily

· Cursory readings from the Old Testament and the Book of Concord are read

· Sermons are held on readings from the lectionary

 

 

Vespers [Evening Devotion]

· Wednesdays at 10:00

· The Lutheran Order used in this service is from the Lutheran Worship

· Bishop Dr. D.P. Tswaedi leads this weekly service

· Everybody is most welcome

Confessional Service

· The order of worship practiced in the LCSA is used here

· Rev. M.N.Mntambo leads the Zulu service on Fridays at 18:00

· Rev. M.N.Mntambo supervises the Tswana service Saturdays at 18:00
