Lutheran Practice

· PT I,1: Homiletics to attain a good knowledge of the principles and practice of preparing and presenting Lutheran sermons, with special emphasis on the sermon for the regular Sunday Service, but also for the Church festivals, Confessional Services, Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals and for Services at other occasions. [1 Semester]

· PT I,2: Lutheran Catechetics to attain familiarity with the principles and practice of preparing classes for Baptismal candidates, Confirmation, Sunday School and Bible Studies with youths or adults. [1 Semester]

· PT II, 1+2: Liturgy 2 semesters, 2 periods of 40 minutes each weekly to attain a fair knowledge of the Order of the Church Year, and the Order of Service with special emphasis on the Sunday Service, but also the Order of the Baptismal, Confirmation, Wedding, Funeral, and Confessional Services. An introduction to personal devotional life and hymnology. [2 Semesters]

· PT III, 1: Pastoral care. Introduction to the main principles and the efficient practice of Church Discipline and of caring for the spiritual needs of children, youth, and adults with special emphasis on visiting old or sick people, people with marital, financial or other specific personal problems, or members of the congregation who do not take an active part in the life of the congregation. [1 Semester]

· PT III,2: Evangelization and Missionary Work to attain a fundamental knowledge and practice of the Lutheran Evangelization and Missions in urban as well as  rural areas. [1 Semester]

· PT IV,1: Stewardship to attain fundamental knowledge of the main principles and practice of being a good steward of one's time, gifts, and possessions as an expression of the life of a Christian in sanctification, and of the congregation as a whole. [1 Semester]

· PT IV,2: Church Law and Administration of the Church gives an overview to various  Constitutions, By-Laws and regulations of Lutheran Churches especially in Africa. [1 Semester]
